Founded by Father Américo in 1949, Casa do Gaiato is a family for those who don’t have it. Welcoming, education and integrating into society children and young people who, for whatever reason, have been deprived of a normal family environment.
The maintenance of Casa do Gaiato depends on projects, donations and self-sustainability activities, in which the boys of Casa do Gaiato in the self-learning system participate, with the follow-up of masters, teachers and older boys, developing their skills and discovering a future profession.
Casa do Gaiato welcomes 156 boys in boarding school, also supporting 52 other young people and providing both groups with professional training actions.
