Hotel Pension A La Mer / At the Waves is situated in the heart of Swakopmund only 20 seconds away from the beach and historical jetty. They offer a choice of 48 en-suit bedrooms. They currently have 17 employees, 13 of which are women. They are currently building an extension to the Hotel Pension A La Mer, to be called At the Waves. This whole section is to receive warm water from a hybrid system between heat pumps and a commercial solar water heating system.
In one year, this installation gives a solar yield of 27.11 MWh and is responsible for the avoidance of 9375.00 kilograms of CO2 emissions.
