Katutura Hospital

Katutura State Hospital is one of the two state hospitals in the Namibian capital Windhoek. The hospital is located in the Katutura district directly at B1 national road. With 749 beds, it is slightly smaller than Windhoek Central Hospital (782 beds). The hospital serves as one of three nationwide training centers for medical students at the University of Namibia. The solar thermal system was installed for the hospital’s maternity ward.

In one year, this installation gives a solar yield of 108.80 MWh and is responsible for the avoidance of 37394.80 kilograms of CO2 emissions.
