Malealea Lodge and Pony Trekking

Malealea lodge is a tourist destination located in a remote but picturesque valley in the District of Mafeteng. It is off grid and presently served by a large PV mini grid installed by BBCDC in Aug. 2016. The Lodge is an important provider of income and opportunity in its community and works closely with the surrounding villages to pursue initiatives in education, environment and community development.

In one year, this installation gives a solar yield of 15.50 MWh and is responsible for the avoidance of 5400.00 kilograms of CO2 emissions.
