The second cohort of the mentorship programme Empowering Women to Advance the Energy Transition in the SADC Region has officially been launched, with applications now open to women energy professionals across Southern Africa.
The 12-month programme seeks to empower women in junior and middle-management positions as well as to advance their career through mentoring, networking and knowledge development. Applicants should have 3-5 years of relevant work experience as well as have nationality of a SADC member states. Candidates should also feel comfortable communicating in English, which is the working language of the programme. Applicants should also be able to commit roughly 4 hours per month towards the programme.
This initiative is part of the wider project, Empowering Women to Advance the Energy Transition in the SADC Region. The project is jointly implemented by the GWNET and the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE), with financial support from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of International Partnerships Austria.
